The Simulink Converter Testing Platform

Electrification systems are composed of multiple components deployed within challenging operational environments. Understanding a diverse array of factors during the early design phases is crucial to ensure proper system engineering and achieve both optimal product performance and reliability in real operating conditions.

To support engineers in the design of increasingly complex electrification systems, we provide a custom simulation and testing platform for all our converters, based on Simulink. This model-based testing tool empowers users to assess and validate various electrification scenarios involving our converters. It facilitates the selection of the most efficient configuration to enhance overall system performance.

Accelerating Prototype Integration

It provides a comprehensive suite of simulation capabilities, including:

  • Finite State Machine: to set-up system level sequencing (start-up, precharge, power down, errors, etc.)
  • Real time closed-loop control: to assess dynamic transient load response and power quality
  • Average models: to speed-up longer term simulations and manage systems with multiple converters
  • CAN messages: to support ECU communication implementation and debugging

Through our custom Simulink testing platform, users can simulate, predict, diagnose, and control the electrical state and behavior of the end system. This tool facilitates the exploration of numerous system-level design options and supports our clients in making upstream design decisions, significantly streamlining and accelerating the prototype integration phase. It enhances accurate risk assessment and improves the security, resilience, and robustness of our clients' electrification solutions.
