DCHV technology achieves Lloyd’s Register Type Approval
Another step forward for the BrightLoop DCHV product family.
The robustness of BrightLoop’s DCHV technology has once again been demonstrated, with Lloyd’s Register Type Approval for marine applications covering environmental categories ENV1, ENV2 and ENV3, in accordance with Lloyd’s Register Test Specification No. 1, July 2024.
The approval was obtained in response to the requirements of a specific customer application, providing independent validation of the DCHV technology against the applicable Lloyd’s Register requirements.
Built for demanding applications
From motorsport and aerospace to marine, off-highway and other harsh environments, the DCHV platform has been developed to deliver high-performance power conversion wherever efficiency, power density and robustness are critical.
Its modular and highly configurable architecture allows voltage ranges, power levels and power flows to be adapted to a wide variety of applications.
For this marine application, the DCHV successfully met the requirements for:
- Application: Marine applications
- Environmental categories: ENV1, ENV2 and ENV3
- Specified standard: Lloyd’s Register Test Specification No. 1, July 2024
This latest approval demonstrates once again the ability of the DCHV product family to meet the qualification and certification requirements associated with demanding applications and environments.
